Assisted Living in Eagle, Idaho

Some communities care for a hundred residents. We care for sixteen. The Ponderosa Estate is a boutique assisted living residence in a quiet Eagle neighborhood — a place where caregivers know your mother’s coffee order by the second morning, and daily support feels like home.

Small by Design

A boutique alternative to large communities.

Most assisted living in the Boise area is built at scale — long corridors, rotating staff, a new face at every shift. We built The Ponderosa Estate to be the opposite. With just sixteen private suites with en suite bathrooms and fireplaces, our home stays calm, quiet, and genuinely personal.

The same caregivers greet your parent each morning. They notice when an appetite changes or a step slows, because they have time to notice. That attention is the difference between being looked after and being known.

If your family is just beginning this conversation, these signs it’s time for assisted living can help you understand where your parent is today.

Daily Support

What daily support includes.

Every care plan here is written around one person. For most residents, that means gentle help with the personal parts of the day — bathing, dressing, and moving safely from place to place — along with medication management handled quietly by our team. A nurse and doctor are on call, so small concerns are answered before they become big ones.

Our full-time chef prepares three meals a day around each resident’s preferences, not a facility menu. Housekeeping and laundry are simply taken care of. Days find their shape through daily activities and wellness programs, and the estate’s resort-style amenities — the library, the salon, the gardens — are steps from every suite. For residents experiencing early-stage memory changes, we also provide memory support within our assisted living community — learn about our memory support.

Good Questions

Frequently asked questions.

What does assisted living at The Ponderosa Estate include?

One all-inclusive monthly rate covers a private suite, personal care — help with bathing, dressing, and mobility — medication management, three chef-prepared meals a day, housekeeping and laundry, daily activities, and an on-call nurse and doctor. Every care plan is personal, and it adjusts quietly as your parent’s needs change.

How is a 16-suite community different from a large assisted living facility?

Scale changes everything. With sixteen residents, the same caregivers are with your parent every day, so small changes get noticed early. Mealtimes are personal, routines stay consistent, and the home stays calm. Large communities can be lovely — but they cannot be this personal. Small by design is the whole idea.

Do you accept long-term care insurance?

Yes. The Ponderosa Estate is a private-pay community, and we accept long-term care insurance. Our team can sit down with you, review your policy, and help you understand exactly how its benefits apply. We are not able to accept Medicaid.

What is all-inclusive pricing?

It means one monthly rate, agreed on before move-in, that covers the suite, personal care, chef-prepared meals, housekeeping, laundry, and activities. There are no surprise fees and no upsells — if your parent needs a little more help this month than last, the rate doesn’t creep up with it.

How do I schedule a tour?

Book online in about a minute on our schedule-a-tour page, or call us at (208) 944-0294. Tours are private and unhurried — you’ll meet caregivers, see the suites, and can ask us anything. Most families tell us the visit is what made the decision clear.
